not that hard
Here's a bit of advice. If you decide you're going to give someone a little test, make sure that there is actually some motivation to pass the test. Like, for instance, let's say that because you have a mental problem, you leave a cookie out on the counter to see if the dog will eat it. In fact, maybe you even leave it in his bowl. You think maybe he might be trained to not eat cookies. Because cookies are Bad For You, and clearly any good dog would know this and refrain from eating the cookie to wait for the vegetable and rice canned food you might possibly give him later. But since you just adopted Rover off the street yesterday, it's possible that he's not as trained as you might think.
When Rover eats the cookie, you have no rational reason to get mad at him. He didn't do anything wrong. You invited him to reward himself, and you gave him no motivation whatsoever to pass your twisted little test.
Just saying, that's all. Rover might start rationalizing his failure as a deficiency in your mental state and the test itself, and then make cryptic snarky comments.
(note to self, again: do not post while drinking.)
(Comments are broken again… I might just switch systems again, let's see if it clears up first.)
