The Power of Christ Impales You!
A columnist on Salon.com rhetorically asked what had ever happened to Men Without Hats, and got this answer:
“I don't know where the rest of them fetched up, but the keyboardist went on to become my dentist here in Ottawa. At least he used to be my dentist; about a year ago he packed up and moved to the States. Before leaving, he did the soundtrack for a locally produced film called 'Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter,' which was even worse than it sounds.”
Worse than it sounds? That sounds awesome! I must get this movie. Especially after reading the user review on Amazon:
The basic premise is that in Ottawa, vampires are hunting lesbians for a nefarious scheme. The Church doesn't know what to do, so they go to Jesus, who has been living in seclusion, saving souls and baptizing people. With his trusty cohorts Mary Magnum and the retired Mexican Wrestling Federation champion El Santos, Jesus does battle with the forces of darkness.
If you don't want to see that then I don't want to know you. Mary Magnum?! Genius!
