Wikipedia has banned entire blocks of IP addresses coming from the US House and Senate, after it was discovered that staffers there have been going on a rampage of lies, vandalism, and general bullshit. These are the people who are in charge of the country.
I guess telling you that the people in charge are all a bunch of complete wankers is… well, I guess you already knew that.
I used to think that Wikipedia had the potential to be a great resource. Great as in “Change The World” great. Now, after this, and a few other recent problems, I'm not sure how the principles of open ownership of information, and objectivity and truth, can ever really meet. Clearly, letting anyone edit anything, isn't going to work.
