Me and You and Everyone We Know: Take Garden State, add twice as many characters, turn the main character (and writer/director) into a woman, take away the recognizable actors and the Shins music, add a hint of pedophilia, and this is what you get. I liked it a lot. 4 stars.
Broken Flowers: Take the guy from Lost in Translation… no really, actually use not just the actor but the actual character, after he loses Scarlett Johansson and realizes he will never have a real relationship ever again. Put him in one of those roadtrip movies where the protaganist goes to visit his old girlfriends. Then forget to include an actual ending, and you've got Broken Flowers. I liked it until the credits started rolling. I mean, I got it, but I still wanted a payoff. 3.5 stars.
