vox allegra

I don’t understand this whole Vox thing. Weblogging “for the rest of us?” Us who? It’s a weblog system that I can’t even leave a comment on without signing up for an account? And I can’t have an account unless I’m invited? And if I do get invited and have an account then I can’t see your private posts? What is the point of this exactly? As far as I can tell, the big attraction is some never ending supply of Questions of the Day, which, hell, I’ll make up questions if you’re short.

Honestly, I just don’t like it because I would have to ask for an invitation, and then ask for entree into your circle, and the thought of possible rejection is just too much. I was holding the baby this morning and he reached out to be carried by Mom, and it ruined my whole day.

  1. Oh man, that’s the worst. Of course, now that my child is 8 she can vocalize things like ‘Mom, you’re so much nicer than Dad.’ Hee.

Of course, this means she also vocalizes things (in a high pitch scream) like “I hate you mom”

So, you know, the good with the bad. But just wait, he’ll be reaching out to you soon, they like to take turns with their favoritism.

  2. He does like me for the most part, and I can’t really blame him for liking the food source more than the daiper changer. It’s kind of like how, when I walk into the kitchen, I gravitate towards the fridge more than the dishwasher.

Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever made a better analogy in my life.
