You know what I really hate? I hate it when an article says something like the following: “Out of 1000 people polled, 20% said they had eaten a bratwurst at least once. Of those, only 10% knew what sausages were made from.” Now, the way I read it, and what it should mean, is that 20 people, or 10% of 200, enjoy pig sphincters. But I’m never sure, because a lot of the time what they really mean is 100 people, 10% of the total.
It makes me crazy.

If only 20% of Americans have had a bratwurst, then the terrorists have already won.
