Generic Synthetic

I honestly want to think that Republicans aren’t actually evil. That they do really believe in democracy. But then I wake up.

The Republicans in Maryland are bussing in homeless people and paying them to hand out flyers in Democratic areas which lie about which party each candidate belongs to. The first lady of Maryland is directly involved. (Here’s the flyer. And now that I see the flier, it isn’t exactly a lie, it’s just enough to avoid any fines, but it’s clearly dishonest. There’s a reason it’s going out on the day of the election.) (Washington Post covers this here. Both Republicans on the flyer lost.)  Here in Virginia, Democrats are getting calls telling them to go the the wrong polling station, or that they are not registered to vote.

This is all they know how to do. They’ve studied all the ways to steal an election. They know that by the time anyone knows what happened, the election will be over, and if they have to pay a fine, or if a few people have to go to jail, so be it. Power is what’s important.
